NATURAL CODE DESIGN

Natural code design is a way of coding proposed in Immediate Computing. It refers to:

  • the output of a digital activity that should be an element of nature
  • the making of a digital activity that should be as the work of a designer which uses the elements of nature
  • a requirement standard for digital entities to be immediate, simple and self explanatory as natural languages and objects
  • slow coding

“Design has nothing to do with beauty: it deals with existence. Maybe existence itself can be imagined as an aesthetic event”. (Ettore Sottsass)
